PHOTOGRAPHY AND MINDFULNESS

Looking with Full Attention

We live in a fast-paced world, where rushing has become the norm. From the moment we wake up, our minds jump from one task to another: work, family responsibilities, social media, commitments… Our attention is scattered, caught between to-do lists and notifications. Often, we may end the day feeling exhausted, like we haven’t had a single moment of real presence, and, worst of all, with the sense that we didn’t accomplish anything.

In the Photography and Mindfulness workshop, you’ll learn to slow down, connect with the present moment, and train your visual perception—free from judgment and expectations. Photography becomes a tool for active meditation, allowing you to explore reality from a deeper, more conscious gaze—without the pressure to capture the “perfect” image, but with the intention of fully experiencing the process.

I’ll be with you on this journey—from the basics of mindfulness to the creation of a meditative photography project. Each session includes guided contemplation exercises, photography practices that focus on conscious observation, and references to great artists who have worked from this perspective. You’ll explore how light, texture, emptiness, and rhythm can become key elements in developing a visual narrative grounded in mindfulness. You’ll also receive tools to reduce stress, boost concentration, and enjoy the act of looking.

I invite you to embark on this experience with an open and curious mind, a game, a way of looking at things without any preconceptions, without accepting or rejecting anything. It’s about embracing a “beginner’s mind,” a Zen concept that invites us to see the world and our lives with curiosity and openness.

Do you dare to explore photography as a way to feel and get to know yourself—and to find a pause? If the answer is yes, welcome to this journey.
